Who operates Explorer

SellwoodFPV Explorer is a California-based online service operated by SellwoodFPV LLC. In this policy, “Explorer,” “we,” and “us” mean SellwoodFPV LLC and the SellwoodFPV Explorer service.

Information we collect

• Account information: email address, authentication records, pilot name, profile image or logo, preferences, and legal-policy acceptance.
• Private flying information: missions, exact coordinates, planning notes, favorites, aircraft, battery and equipment details, flight logs, weather-planning inputs, photos, and media links.
• Community information: public pilot identity and contributions you intentionally publish, such as flight videos, launch points, reviews, photos, or mission reports.
• Billing information: Stripe customer, subscription, plan, renewal, cancellation, and payment-status records. Explorer does not receive or store complete card numbers.
• Support and safety information: feedback, reports, messages, moderation history, and information you provide when requesting help.
• Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, authentication cookies, requested pages, timestamps, errors, and security or operational logs generated when the service is used.

Private by default; public by choice

Missions, exact coordinates, planning notes, favorites, flight records, and unshared media are private by default. Explorer publishes content only when you deliberately use a sharing control. The sharing screen identifies what becomes public and what remains private.

Public contributions can be viewed, linked, recorded, cached, or copied by other people. Removing a contribution from Explorer does not remove copies or screenshots made outside Explorer.

How we use information

• Provide, personalize, and secure your account and private workspace.
• Save missions, display maps and weather, maintain flight records, and provide Community features.
• Process subscriptions, apply contribution limits, and maintain billing status.
• Respond to support requests, investigate reports, prevent abuse, and protect users and the service.
• Diagnose failures, measure reliability, develop improvements, and comply with legal obligations.

Explorer does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Service providers and external content

• Supabase provides authentication and database storage.
• Vercel hosts and delivers the application and may process operational request logs.
• Stripe provides checkout, subscription management, payment processing, receipts, and fraud prevention.
• Mapbox provides maps, map imagery, location search, and geographic tools. Coordinates or searches requested through those tools are sent to Mapbox.
• Open-Meteo provides forecast and historical weather information using coordinates and dates requested by the weather feature.
• YouTube and Vimeo may receive technical request information when Explorer loads a thumbnail or embedded public video from those services.

These companies process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Explorer may also open links to services selected by a user, such as video or cloud-storage providers.

Cookies and browser controls

Explorer uses essential cookies and similar browser storage to keep users signed in, protect sessions, remember preferences, and operate requested features. Explorer does not currently use advertising cookies. Browser “Do Not Track” signals do not disable essential authentication or security functions. Where legally required, Explorer will honor applicable opt-out preference signals for any future sale, sharing, or targeted advertising.

Location information

Explorer processes locations that you enter, pin, search, or associate with a mission. It does not claim to collect continuous background location. Exact private coordinates may be transmitted to mapping or weather providers when you request those features, but they are not published to Community unless a sharing screen expressly says so and you choose to publish them.

Retention and deletion

Account and private-workspace data is generally retained while the account remains active. Public contributions remain until removed by you or Explorer. Operational and security records are kept only as reasonably necessary for reliability, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. After account deletion, information is removed from active Explorer systems, but limited copies may remain temporarily in backups, transaction records, security records, or records that Stripe or another provider must retain.

Your privacy choices and rights

You can edit your profile, change sharing choices, export account data, and permanently delete your account from Settings. Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may also request access, correction, deletion, portability, information about disclosures, or an appeal of a denied request. Explorer will not discriminate against a user for exercising a privacy right. Explorer may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify the request and protect the account.

California disclosures

This policy is intended to provide the disclosures required by the California Online Privacy Protection Act. Explorer will review this policy at least annually and whenever its practices materially change. If Explorer becomes subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act, it will provide any additional notice-at-collection, request, sensitive-information, and opt-out mechanisms required by that law.

Children and teenagers

Explorer is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. A user between 13 and 17 may use Explorer only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that information was collected from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Security and international processing

Explorer uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online system can promise absolute security. Explorer and its providers primarily process information in the United States; information accessed from another country may therefore be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes and contact

Material changes will be announced in Explorer or by email when appropriate, and the effective date will be updated.
